Peer Review Process

Peer Review Process

Literasi: Jurnal Pendidikan Guru Indonesia applies a rigorous double-anonymous peer review process to ensure the academic quality and integrity of every manuscript published.

1. Editorial Screening

All submitted manuscripts are initially reviewed by the editorial team to evaluate their suitability, originality, and compliance with the journal’s submission guidelines. Manuscripts that do not meet basic editorial standards or fall outside the journal’s scope may be rejected without peer review.

2. Double-Anonymous Peer Review

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field. The journal uses a double-anonymous review system, which means that both the reviewers and the authors remain anonymous to each other throughout the review process to ensure impartiality and objectivity.

3. Review Criteria

Reviewers are asked to assess the manuscript based on several criteria, including:

  • Originality and contribution to the field
  • Relevance to the journal’s scope
  • Clarity of writing and structure
  • Methodological soundness and data validity
  • Accuracy of references and use of literature

4. Editorial Decision

After receiving the reviewers’ recommendations, the editorial team will make one of the following decisions:

  • Accept
  • Minor revisions
  • Major revisions
  • Reject

Authors will be notified of the decision and, if revisions are requested, must resubmit the revised manuscript within the specified timeframe.

5. Timeline

The average time from submission to initial decision is 4–8 weeks. The editorial team is committed to providing timely and constructive feedback to all authors.

6. Final Review and Publication

Once a manuscript is accepted, it undergoes final proofreading, formatting, and copyediting before being published online. The final version is assigned a DOI and made freely accessible under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).
